Sri Ram Navami is celebrated on 15th April, 2016 in order to commemorate the birth of Lord Rama who was the seventh incarnation of Lord Maha Vishnu. Rama Nawami is the Hindu festival, celebrating the birth of
Sri Rama to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya in Ayodhya. The holy day falls in the Shukla Paksha on the Navami, the ninth day of the month of Chaitra in the Hindu calendar. Thus it is also known as Chaitra Masa Suklapaksha Navami, and marks the end of the nine-day Chaitra-Navaratri (Vasanta Navaratri) celebrations. Rama Navami is one of the most important Hindu festivals. This year it is celebrated on 15th April 2016.
Although, this day is celebrated as Lord Rama’s Birthday, his wedding with his wife Sita also falls on the same day and hence, great celebrations will be organized all over the country especially in the Southern part of India in which a traditional wedding/ marriage ceremony of the pair will be organized in pandals and temples.
People are often unreasonable, self-centred: Forgive them anyway. If you are honest, people may cheat you, but be honest anyway. What you spend years to build, someone could destroy overnight. Build anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow. Do good anyway. You see, in the final analysis it is between you and God; it never was between you and them anyway
The root of suffering is attachment. You have created a space in your mind that holds a person or object as part of you. When that person or object is criticized, neglected or not with you, you feel pain in your mind and you experience a sense of loss. If you want to be happy, you must learn to love and appreciate while remaining independent.
Cook and eat with powerful vibrations. By placing great importance on cooking and eating with loving and peaceful vibrations, you will nourish both mind and body.
Beauty comes with self acceptance, self love and self awareness. Self knowledge is equivalent to truth which brings serenity and spiritual beauty.
The faith that can move mountains needs three ingredients to work: belief in yourself, belief in others, and the ability to draw on your inner strength.
The more good wishes and kind feelings we have for others, the more our own happiness increases.
Being lost in thought, thinking about things to do, what’s been done, what could have been done… is not only tiring but also a brilliant way to waste energy. It diminishes your peacefulness and clouds your clarity. Every time you become lost in thought it means exactly that – you are lost! To find yourself, allow your mind to become quiet, to become utterly tranquil. In the quiet depths of every being, there is a stillness that contains a deep inner peace and wisdom that can guide you in your life.
Unhealthy lifestyles are rooted in the mind and seeded in the soul. The spiritual exercise of the mind involves taking the mind out of the physical body and to the subtle body of light and then to our state of being a soul – a sentient point of light and power. As for diet control, pure thoughts are the healthy diet for the mind. Creative thoughts are like vitamins and positive thoughts provide proteins that build will power.
