
Monthly Youth & Children’s Classes
Sanatan Cultural Society is committed to supporting children and young people in exploring, understanding and participating in the Hindu faith within a respectful and inclusive Mandir community.
What We Offer:
Religious Education & Scripture: Age-appropriate lessons on the teachings of Hinduism, scriptural stories, and understanding spiritual practices and rituals.
Values & Character Building: Exploration of core Hindu values – such as respect, compassion, self-discipline, seva and devotion – and how to apply them in daily life.
Cultural Traditions & Devotional Music: Harmonium instruction where youth learn to play instruments, explore different variations of traditional bhajans (devotional , and develop their singing skills, all while learning the deeper cultural and spiritual significance behind the music.
Interactive Learning & Crafts: Engaging games and hands-on activities that make learning scripture, cultural traditions, and ethical values fun and memorable.
Festival Celebrations & Performances: Opportunities for youth to present bhajans and share stories of what they have learnt in classes during festival celebrations and our annual Diwali performance.
Gita Chanting & Annual Recitation: Learning to chant a chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, with youth studying a new chapter each year (through in-person and online sessions) in preparation to perform during our annual Gita Jayanti function.

Getting Involved
Our monthly in-person classes are open to all youth with no registration required.
